In St Michel-Chef-Chef (Brittany) a pastry master named Joseph Grellier, possessed the secret of a recipe of round, tender and golden galettes, baptized “Galettes St Michel ” which he lovingly cooked in his oven. With the success of his Galettes, his wife Constance had the brilliant idea to sell the Galettes to the Parisian ladies who come to vacation on the Brittany coast. On a beautiful day in July 1905, she hitched her cart of still warm Galettes, determined to only return with an empty car. And the rest is history… Today the company is still 100% French family owned. Our goal is to produce French quality cookies & cakes (Madeleines, Crêpes, Biscuits) for the greatest number of people around the world.
